Crystal now lives a life on a different diet than most people.  As you can imagine, this is a struggle to shift your habits so drastically, but Crystal knew she had no choice because she wasn’t going down with out a fight!

Here is the current diet specific for Crystal*

  • Lemon water
  • Raw egg blended in concord grape juice – temporarily for anemia
  • Juice daily – celery, carrot, apple, parsley, cucumber, lemon, beets, general greens
  • Boiled or poached eggs
  • Toast – non gluten or sprouted grain “Ezekiel”
  • Salads – small green leafy salad with a dressing of olive oil and apple cider vinegar / olive oil and lemon juice and add garlic and other spices for more flavor.
  • High amounts of steamed vegetables
  • Vegetables – carrots, BEETS, turnips, parsnips, kohlrabi, jicama, radish, potatoes (red skinned, yukon gold, sweet, yams), onions, garlic, leeks, scallions, spinach.
  • Fruit – apples, bananas, cantaloupe, grapes, kiwi, mangos, olives, pears, persimmons, pineapple, pomegranate, plums, prunes, strawberries, watermelon, pears, and no citrus besides lemons.
  • Highly recommended – asparagus, brussel sprouts, kale, cabbage, onions, garlic, bran, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, fresh wild salmon, eggs (soft or hard boiled only)
  • Sprouted nuts and seeds – almonds, hazelnut, pecans, walnuts, sunflower and sesame seeds
  • Grains – buckwheat, millet, brown rice
  • Dairy – cottage cheese, yogurt, white cheeses, butter
  • Meats – grass fed beef, buffalo, wild caught seafood, any wild game
  • Work on ELIMINATING ALL  – all soy products, pork, yellow cheese, margarine, peanut butter, gravies, whole milk, most vegetable oils, REFINED SUGAR PRODUCTS, WHITE FLOUR PRODUCTS, snack food, fried food, ANYTHING HYDROGENATED.

An average week of meals for Crystal looks like this:

Breakfast – Baked millet, gluten free cereal and unsweetened almond milk, buckwheat pancakes, real maple syrup, ezekiel toast and fruit, hard or soft boiled eggs.

Lunch / Dinner – brown rice pasta ( Tinkya’da) with vegetables or sauce, salad, brown rice with steamed veggies, Tamari gluten free soy sauce and wasabi, nuts and seeds, brown rice sushi, veggie lasagna made with brown rice pasta (Tinkya’da), wraps with brown rice tortillas, fish tacos

Soups -  corn chowder, veggie, potato leek, tomato, cauliflower dill, veggie rice

Snacks – nuts, seeds, rice chips, buffalo jerky, trio bard bars from Costco, nameste’ gluten free spiced cake and sugar free muffins, fruit, veggies, cheese, and an occasional dark chocolate, (always keeping my sugar intake to 15 – 20 grams during an 8 hour period not including fruit)
