We spent another day at Disneyland with my brother. It was a great time and something the girls will never forget. They got pillow pets and little baby kittens with the money they had saved up and were very happy. We then spent a day at Laguna beach to rest up a little and spend some time with friends. Then we drove 8 hrs back up to Carson City to see my Grandma for the first time in 12 years. We had parted ways after my Dad’s death and haven’t spoken until she heard about my diagnosis. It’s funny how something like that breaks the silence and gives us a fresh chance and relationships. I am really trying to heal those things in my life and this was a great start. It felt like time hadn’t passed and was great for her to see my girls for the first time. The next morning we headed for Lahonton. It is always such a good few days. Sunshine, Activities, Good food, and great Family and friends. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach, the creative meals, riding the jet skis, I even wake boarded for the first time since chemo. I was worried I wouldn’t have the strength but I did pretty well. Rilynn even water skied. She got up her first try and went around and around. She even was skiing with one hand behind her back, the little show off. It was so cool to see! All in all it was a GREAT trip with lots of emotions and memories made. Now I have 1 days(with my washer not working ugh) to get things cleaned up before I head to the Dr on Tuesday. I am hoping for good results and that I will be confident in my decision to change oncologists. I had really liked this Dr the 2 times I have seen him and have decided to make him my permanent place. He is actually the son of my old Dr. and he is much younger, more open minded and less pushy. Fingers crossed
Sooo happy you had a wonderful vacation!! I’m sure it was very emotional at times but what a great trip. Very proud of you for all your letting go…just a reminder to us, its not worth it to keep things undone! ly, aunt n
